Matches that are different.

Question:
Why does DPF (DuplicatePhotoFinder) match two photos that look completely different to me.

Answer:
DPF uses a complex algorithm designed to not only match exact duplicates, but also clips of larger photos. Sometimes if a multitude of the criteria used to determine a match are met then DPF says yes they match. some things to ask, are
    Is the color similar?
    Are there similar shapes
does one part of one picture look a little like the other
It may not even be something that you can see. It's the program. This is one reason there is a need to verify by eye that the matches are correct.
